My barber isn’t present on any of my trips, period.

There has been some recent comedy on Cory’s Wikipedia entry that led to the addition (and swift removal) of this “trivia” section:

• Doctorow travels three weeks a month for work purposes. As with some travellers, he carries photos of his preferred hairstyle on long trips. Contrary to popular belief, Doctorow no longer refers to his hairstyle as “The Magic Kingdom”.
• Claims to be left-handed, but is actually right-handed.

Cory (who for some reason nobody calls out on editing his own entry) doesn’t get it:

I’ve got no idea why the stuff about the haircut is in there, but at least it should be accurate. No one calls a flat-top haircut “The Magic Kingdom.” I carry the photos on long trips of several weeks or more when I’m likely to need a haircut, not on trips when my “regular barber isn’t present.” My barber isn’t present on any of my trips, period.

LOL.

   I recently discovered your cool site when ego surfing. Cory’s post about my most recent book “The Pains” rated a 463 or some such on your suckage meter. I was impressed at this high number at first, until I saw how high some of the other entries were. I don’t even make it into the “top fifteen recent” sucky posts.

   Anyway, it occurs to me that Cory already gets plenty, plenty, plenty attention. Whereas I languish in near (OK, absolute) obscurity. Might I therefore humbly suggest that you retarget your work and produce a “sundmansucks” website and direct your suckiness-analysing algorithms towards entries on my anti-boingboing, called wetmachine.com?

   I have not checked, but I believe that the sundmansucks domain should be available. Likewise, so far as I know there is no wikipedia entry for me. Please fee free to create one and fill it however you like.

   Note: I’m basically bald, and my wife usually cuts my hair. If I go to a barber, howeveer, my typical instruction is: “make it shorter, please.” I don’t have a name for this haircut, but perhaps we could take to calling it, “the flight of Charles II from Worcester”. Whatcha think?
